Client Exception: The system cannot find the file specified.svn: Can't Create tunnel: The system cannot find the file specified."Keep the location anyway? Mark On Mon, Jul 7, 2008 at PM, Jason Mc Culty -- Thanks Mark Phippard To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] For additional commands, e-mail: [hidden email] That all sounds right.
The error message indicates that Java HL is being used, but I have SVNKit selected (it's always been much simpler to use svn ssh connections with SVNKit than Java HL in the past). What we need to know next though is whether in your preferences it says that SVNKit is not available. -- Thanks Mark Phippard To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] For additional commands, e-mail: [hidden email] Oops, hit the wrong button when replying, sorry.
SVNKit does not have any Eclipse dependencies, so I cannot think of any reason it would fail to load.
-- Thanks Mark Phippard To unsubscribe, e-mail: [hidden email] For additional commands, e-mail: [hidden email] Just for comparison sake, I have not upgraded to Ganymede - I still have Europa Winter (3.3.2), and I when I navigate to the SVN Preferences I get: Client: Java HL (JNI) 1.5.0 (r31699) SVNKit (Pure Java) SVNKit v188.8.131.5202 I have very comparible version of the SVNKit Client Adapater (1.5.0) & the same version of the SVNKit Library plug-in, although I also have Java HL installed, which maybe you do not.
I've tried creating a new workspace thinking that the old settings were somehow conflicting with the version.
This is what I get when I try to create a new repository with an svn ssh connection: Error validating location: "org.tigris.subversion.javahl.
Is there any type of debug logging I could enable to help figure this out?
Client Exception: svn: URL 'SVN for the "SVN Interface".
Do I need to do something so that "Java HL (JNI)" is installed?
Attached is the Help-Installation Details screen on the machine where Subclipse is working: Am I missing some installed software to make Subclipse work correctly with a client svn version of 1.6.11 with a server svn version of 1.7.14?
I just updated an Eclipse 3.4 install on Windows (using same JVM as you). Do you have any Subclipse/SVNKit related errors in "Error Log" view? Try installing SVNKit plugin directly from our update site at Kitaev, TMate Software, - Java [Sub]Versioning Library! I see a couple of warnings in the Error Log view related to the Sublipcse Mylyn plugins because I don't have Mylyn installed. To avoid confusion, I first removed the SVNKit plugin that was included with Subclipse from my plugins directory.
Removing the Subclipse Mylyn plugins and deleting the workspace log file resolves these warnings. I then added the above URL to Eclipse's software update sites and installed the plugin.
